Spread that Local Love with Flippers Tavern
From bratwurst hotdogs, pinball machines, refreshing drinks, and awesome staff, if you’re in Lubbock- Flippers Tavern is a must! Since 2015, local and unique to Lubbock, Flippers has welcomed all members of the community and created a safe place for everyone to be a part of.
The pub that guarantees a good time and fantastic atmosphere have added so much value to Lubbock and the downtown area over the last five years. Some of the customer favorites from the menu are; the vegan options they offer, “flippers chips”, homemade chili, and the “flipper style” dog. Pair any of those with a variety of classic chiltons, or craft beer and it’s a meal to remember! The friendly staff is another reason you are sure to fall in love with this place after just one stop.
Manager Simone See, says despite Covid19 making sure their employees can make ends meet and provide them with a job is Flipper’s #1 priority. Unfortunately, the pandemic has decreased their amount of revenue by more than half, causing the bar to temporarily shut down until further notice.
Hundreds of citizens reacted to Flipper’s announcement about the temporarily closing which had a greater effect on the community than the employees expected. “It’s been really sad to see everybody so upset about having to close,” See says. “But, it’s also felt really nice to notice all of the love and support and see just how much people love Flippers.”
Flippers thanks all of their “regulars” and customers for making it what it is today. Without the support they had before Covid19, they would be in a very different position right now.
“We are lucky to have had that support and done so well before this unforeseen time. We miss and love everyone!” See said.
